(November 10, 2025, Hong Kong) In the quarterfinals of the 15th National Games Youth Men’s Team Tennis event, Team Hong Kong faced Hebei and delivered a commanding performance to secure a historic spot in the semifinals.
In the first singles match, Hong Kong’s Wong Tsz Fu defeated Zhao Fan Yu in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. In the second singles match, Kai Thompson overcame Pan Yan Shuo with a 6-4, 6-0 victory. With two consecutive wins, Team Hong Kong clinched the tie 2-0, advancing to the semifinals and securing the team’s first-ever medal in the tennis team event at the National Games.
Team Hong Kong will face top-seeded Jiangsu in the semi-final scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11.
