The weather in Hong Kong is hot during the summer. In high temperatures, the human body sweats more and breathes more rapidly to help cool itself. When cardiac arrest takes place, every second counts. The best action is to deliver a shock via defibrillator. Otherwise, the survival rate decreases by 7% to 10 % in each following minute. The course teaches how to use AED, so that when someone has a cardiac arrest, people nearby can immediately provide emergency assistance, thereby improving the patient’s survival rate. The course outline:
– Fundamental knowledge of the human circulatory system and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
– Recognize a person in cardiac arrest, loss of consciousness, and able to respond during an emergency.
– Understand the effectiveness of compression-only CPR (COCPR).
– Learn techniques to perform high-quality CPR.
– Understand precautions when using an AED.
– Recognize and follow the AED protocol.
– Learn patient handover procedures.

JUDY MURRAY
Judy Murray OBE is a prominent figure in Tennis across the globe. Passionate about females in tennis, Judy launched her Miss-Hits program to grow the number of females participating in Tennis. Raising her two sons in Dunblane in Scotland, Judy started her coaching career as a volunteer coach working with her sons to develop their tennis. Not only has Judy coached her sons Andy and Jamie to Grand Slam titles, Judy has also been the Scottish National Coach, in addition to formerly captaining the Great Britain Billie Jean King Cup Team. Judy’s session will be focused on activities that will engage kids, creating a fun environment to develop their tennis skills.
BELINDA COLANERI
Belinda Colaneri is the Performance Coach Development Manager at Tennis Australia. She has extensive experience in designing, writing and delivering education and professional learning for junior to performance coaches. She holds Bachelor degrees in Applied Science and Education and is a Tennis Australia High Performance qualified coach with over 20 years coaching experience including coaching numerous National champions and International junior representatives. Belinda was also a Secondary Science and Physical Education teacher, working at many of Melbourne’s most prestigious schools. A proud working mother who maintains a great life balance and has a passion for helping others grow to be their best, Belinda is a lifelong learner who builds meaningful and lasting relationships.
VANIA KING
Vania King is a former professional tennis player that reached career high rankings of #3 in the world in doubles and #50 in the world in singles. She is a two-time Grand Slam Doubles Champion, winning Wimbledon and the US Open in 2010. She won 15 WTA Doubles titles and 1 WTA Singles title. Post professional tennis career, Vania is a community engagement consultant for the WTA Foundation, a Director-at-Large on the United States Tennis Association’s Board of Directors, the co-founder of the Asian American Pacific Islander Tennis Association, and the founder of Serving Up Hope, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of youth through tennis. She is also a PTRW Ambassador, whose aim is to increase the community of female tennis coaches worldwide. Vania received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a masters degree in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University.

Vania King is a former professional tennis player that reached career high rankings of #3 in the world in doubles and #50 in the world in singles. She is a two-time Grand Slam Doubles Champion, winning Wimbledon and the US Open in 2010. She won 15 WTA Doubles titles and 1 WTA Singles title. Post professional tennis career, Vania is a community engagement consultant for the WTA Foundation, a Director-at-Large on the United States Tennis Association’s Board of Directors, the co-founder of the Asian American Pacific Islander Tennis Association, and the founder of Serving Up Hope, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of youth through tennis. She is also a PTRW Ambassador, whose aim is to increase the community of female tennis coaches worldwide. Vania received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a masters degree in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University.

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), Hong Kong, China Tennis Association (HKCTA) and Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) are jointly organizing a WTA Coaches Conference 2024 on 28 October, Monday, during this year’s WTA 250 Hong Kong Tennis Open.
JUDY MURRAY
Judy Murray OBE is a prominent figure in Tennis across the globe. Passionate about females in tennis, Judy launched her Miss-Hits program to grow the number of females participating in Tennis. Raising her two sons in Dunblane in Scotland, Judy started her coaching career as a volunteer coach working with her sons to develop their tennis. Not only has Judy coached her sons Andy and Jamie to Grand Slam titles, Judy has also been the Scottish National Coach, in addition to formerly captaining the Great Britain Billie Jean King Cup Team. Judy’s session will be focused on activities that will engage kids, creating a fun environment to develop their tennis skills.

Belinda Colaneri is the Performance Coach Development Manager at Tennis Australia. She has extensive experience in designing, writing and delivering education and professional learning for junior to performance coaches. She holds Bachelor degrees in Applied Science and Education and is a Tennis Australia High Performance qualified coach with over 20 years coaching experience including coaching numerous National champions and International junior representatives. Belinda was also a Secondary Science and Physical Education teacher, working at many of Melbourne’s most prestigious schools.
