Overview

 

The HKCTA has collaborated with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) on a series of high-level certification courses for coaches here in Hong Kong since 2003. It consists of three levels, including elementary, development and advanced.

After meeting criteria and standards set by the ITF Task Force on the Coach Education, the HKCTA received Bronze recognition in 2017 from the ITF. Such recognition signals the acceptance of Hong Kong’s curriculum as a global standard.

The programme aims to identify local potential candidate(s) and offer a clear career development path in tennis coaching. Throughout the whole process of development in about 7-year, we offer a series of ITF Coach Certification courses from elementary (beginner) to development and then advanced (national) level, coaching and travelling opportunities and tutor training in the entire career development process.
