The Davis Cup — often referred to as the “World Cup of Tennis” — will see the Hong Kong, China team host top seeds Finland in the World Group I Play-offs. This tie is not only a high-level international showdown, but also a significant moment for Hong Kong to unite in support of its home team. Players representing Hong Kong feature Coleman Wong, the first Hong Kong player in history to reach the third round of the US Open, alongside Nicholas Cheng, Kai Thompson, Wong Tsz-fu, Jack Cheng and Walter Tam who earned bronze in the Men‘s Youth Team event at the 15th National Games.
“This marks the first time the ‘Team HK’ concept has been expanded from the athletes to embrace the wider community,” said Mr. Michael Cheng, President of the Hong Kong, China Tennis Association. “Through this initiative, we hope to encourage broader participation in international tennis events and foster a respectful, united, and passionate home-court environment that truly reflects the culture of our sport. The ‘Team HK Home Support Pack’ is designed to turn spectators into active co-creators of the match-day atmosphere, building a shared visual identity that showcases the solidarity, energy, and sportsmanship of Hong Kong supporters.
Each “Team HK Home Support Pack” includes an official Davis Cup 2026 – Hong Kong Tie cheering towel, support tee, and one single-day match ticket, enabling fans to stand behind Team HK through every point and every rally.
