Overview

The HKCTA / prince Primary School Mini Tennis Promotion Scheme has been organized each year since 1991. With the generous support of prince, over 10,000 primary school students have benefited from this programme over the years. Mini tennis is played using minimized equipment usually on a badminton court, with shorter rackets, a lower net and Red Tennis Ball (75% slower than a Yellow Ball). This makes it easier for children to learn and practice tennis skills and build up their confidence. Mini-Tennis is not only an enjoyable lifetime sports activity for the youngsters, but it is also an important avenue for talent identification for the HKCTA’s Junior Development Programme.
