Billie Jean King Cup 2024 nominations

Eudice Chong, Cody Wong, Tiffany Wu, Maggie Ng, Justine Leong, Zhang Ling (Captain) are nominated for next week’s Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Asia/Oceania Group II Qualifying in Kuala Lumpur.

Aside from morning and afternoon BJKC training sessions at the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI), part of the team’s preparation for the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers was competing in the two ITF Women’s World Tennis Tour events held in Hong Kong in recent weeks. Cody Wong reached the singles quarterfinals in both the Week One W15 and the Week Two W35, while Eudice Chong captured both singles and doubles (w/ Cody Wong) in Week Two.

65 Hong Kong, China

Apart from Thailand’s No. 206 Mananchaya Sawangkaew, Hong Kong’s Eudice Chong at No. 267 is the second highest-ranked player at next week’s BJKC qualifying. Kyrgyzstan’s Vladislava Andreevskaya has a current ranking of No. 1143. Mongolia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Iran, and Singapore do not have a ranked singles player on their rosters.
