In honour of Dr. Henry Fok, whose love of the game and patronage of the sport over the years had given such impetus to the development of tennis in Hong Kong, it is only fitting that this event he had sponsored since its inception some fifteen years ago shall now be renamed Dr. Henry Fok Corporate Patron League.

Objectives of the Corporate Patron League
- To promote competitive tennis among corporations in Hong Kong and raise the playing standard of business executives generally
- To foster exchange and encourage friendly relations between corporations through tennis
- To create more exposure for the game of tennis by reaching out to a special segment of our community
- To communicate to Hong Kong tennis public that the Hong Kong Tennis Association is committed to the development of the game
* Any surplus funds this year will be donated to the HONG KONG JUNIOR ELITE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME to help pay for coaching and traveling expenses for Hong Kong's most promising junior players.
Format of Play
A team will field two doubles pairs per round
- A Multiple elimination format will be adopted
- Each Team will play 2 preliminary rounds
- Teams will then be assigned according to their results in the preliminary rounds to the following Single-Elimination Draws:

Conduct of the Tournament
The Tournament will be conducted by the Committee of the CPL under the rules and regulations of HKTA.
Team Format
Each team will field two doubles pairs each round. Besides men's and ladies', mixed-gender pairs are also acceptable. However, team members must be full-time employees of the Corporate Patron (The Committee of the CPL has the power to waive or vary this requirement for members who are unincorporated):
– In accordance with the overwhelming wishes of the members as expressed in the past, no tennis professionals / coaches shall be eligible to play and only full-time employees of the Corporate Patron, who are not in the absolute discretion of the Committee of the CPL held to be tennis professionals / coaches, will be eligible (A tennis coach is someone who has received pecuniary rewards from coaching part-time or full-time anytime during the past 12 months).
– It is the sole responsibility of the team to ensure that they do not include any tennis professionals / coaches. If a team is found to be fielding professionals and/or coaches in any matches, those matches will be forfeited at the discretion of the Committee of the CPL.
– Any unregistered players fielded must be submitted to the Committee of the CPL for approval before the first match of the CPL starts. It is hoped that at least one senior manager or director will play in the team. However this is not a pre-condition to entry.
