Subvented by the LCSD, the Hong Kong Junior Tennis Series is made up of a number of competitions held throughout the year that are contested at various public tennis facilities. The winners of each competition will be invited to participate in the year-end Grand Masters tournament. Events on offer include Boys' & Girls' Singles in the 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U age groups, and Boys' & Girls' Doubles in the 12U, 14U, and 18U age groups. The Junior Series is an important avenue through which players can gain match-play experience against other juniors. It's format also allows players the flexibility to select those competitions that best fit their schedules without compromising their positions. Over the years, many local tennis standouts such as John Hui, Jacklyn Fu, Jason Sankey, Wayne Wong, Yu Hiu Tung, Jack Hui, Brian Hung, Martin Sayer, and Venise Chan, have all participated in the Junior Series before they embarked on competitions that took place on a much bigger, world stage.
