Career Highlights:

► Made Davis Cup debut for Hong Kong at age 15 yrs 332 days in a reverse singles dead rubber against Thailand in an Asia/Oceania Zone Group II First Round tie at Victoria Park in Feb 1997; and subsequently listed in the Official Davis Cup Media Guide as one of eighty-six* youngest players to have made their Davis Cup debut in a singles rubber.

► Won his first Davis Cup rubber by claiming the reverse singles in an Asia/Oceania Zone Group II Relegation Playoff tie against Saudi Arabia in Apr 1997 at the National Stadium in Riyadh, where Hong Kong won 4-1 to retain its Group II status.

► Ranked No.1 in the Hong Kong Boys' 18U age group each and every year since the age of 14 (1995-99).

► Youngest player (male) in Hong Kong to reach a local major - at the Furama Hong Kong Open in 1997 - one month shy of his 16th birthday.

► Began representing Hong Kong in ITF World Junior Circuit events at age 13; Competed in his first pro circuit event at the 1997 Singapore Challenger at age 14, when he qualified for the men's doubles maindraw (w/ Melvin Tong) and gained his first professional ranking points.

► Helped Hong Kong stave off Davis Cup relegation when he won the deciding singles rubber on the final day against Kazakhstan in April 2000 to secure the territory a 3-2 overall victory and preserving the territory's Group II status.

► Anchored Hong Kong to a 5th place finish in the Men's Team event at the 2001 All China Games, winning all but one of his matches, losing only to then reigning national singles champion, Li Si.

► In his final year at UC Berkeley in 2004, became the first player from the territory to be installed as the No. 1 singles player for an NCAA Division I school in US collegiate tennis - Led Berkeley in overall victories as a sophmore and helped the team secure a season-high NCAA ranking of No. 3 in 2003; Played a pivotal role in Berkeley's 4-3 win over previously undefeated and No.1-ranked Stanford in Feb 2002, as he beat 16th-ranked David Martin to level the overall score at 3-3 after his team had trailed 0-3, with Berkeley eventually posting a 4-3 win to snap Stanford's 75-match home win streak.

► Defeated Taiwanese number two and then ATP No. 217, Wang Yeu-Tzuoo, in the singles rubber between Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei's second round match in the men's team event at the 2002 Busan Asian Games.

► Won both singles rubbers, including coming back from a two-set, double-break, 5-7, 3-6, 2-5, deficit to win, 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-3, against opposing No. 1, Patrick Chucri, in the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group II Semifinal against Lebanon in 2003 to seal a 3-1 overall victory to put Hong Kong through to the Group II Final against Chinese Taipei.

► Following the 2005 Asia/Oceania Zone Group III Playoffs, his career singles win-loss record of 12-8 enabled him to move past Melvin Tong (11-9) into third place on the HK Davis Cup All-Time Singles Win List and trails only Mark Bailey (17-13) and Colin Grant (17-15) in that category. His twelve wins (1997 & counting) also make him only the fifth player in Hong Kong Davis Cup history after Mark Bailey's 17-13 (1982-1992), Colin Grant's 17-15 (1985-1994), Michael Walker's 10-5 (1991-1994), and Melvin Tong's 11-9 (1994-2002) to have reached double-digit wins in singles.

► Defeated No. 15 seed Aqeel Khan of Pakistan (ATP 514) to reach round of sixteen in the men's singles at the 15th Asian Games, Doha (2006) before falling to No. 3 seed and eventual champion, Danai Udomchoke, of Thailand (ATP 104).

* In March 1999, Ivan Yeh, at age 15 yrs 113 days, became the youngest Hong Kong player to compete in a Davis Cup rubber when he partnered 16-year-old Michael Wu to win the dead rubber doubles in a 2-1 loss to Malaysia in the Asia/Oceania Zone Group III Final in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
