► With Hong Kong all-squared with Lebanon at 2-2, won fifth and deciding rubber in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Zone Group II Relegation Playoff tie to cement 3-2 victory for HK. In preserving the territory's Group II status in 2009, the win also relegated Lebanon to Group III in 2009 (Apr 2008).

► In his live debut, defeated Iranian No. 1 Anoosha Shahgholi (ATP 849), in five sets, 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, that set up HK's overall 3-2 victory in the Group II Relegation Playoff in Tehran.  The 4 hours it took to complete turned out to be the longest rubber (duration) in HK Davis Cup history (Apr 2007).
