The Hong Kong Tennis Association is organising a Tennis Day on Sunday JUNE 1st to help the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake. ALL DONATIONS COLLECTED WILL GO TO Hong Kong Red Cross China Relief Fund
Hong Kong’s top tennis coaches and players will be at Chinese Recreation Club (香港中華游樂會) in Causeway Bay, South China Athletic Association (南華體育會網球中心) on Wyllie Road, and at Craigengower Cricket Club (紀利華木球會) on Wong Nai Chung Road and will be available for Tennis Lessons or Tennis Challenges. Both clubs have generously donated court hours and facilities during the day.
Choose the coach you wish to have lessons with, or the player you wish to challenge, and then come to one of the clubs make your donation and enjoy a memorable tennis experience for a very good cause.
A donation of a minimum of HK $1,000 per court for an up to one hour tennis lesson with the coach of your choice. Or a minimum of HK$2,000 to challenge a current or past Davis Cup and Federation Cup player to play a match against you for up to 45 minutes or give you a tennis lesson.
Ray Kelly the Director of Coaching at the HKTA will be there doing some specialized training; if you have a problem area let Ray try to sort it out for HK$2,000 minimum donation.
Mark Kratzmann, former Grand Slam Doubles Finalist, Australian Open with career high ranking of 50 in singles and 5 in doubles is going to play with you for a minimum donation of $ HK3,000.
The times are from 9am until 6pm at each venue. If you wish to reserve a specific coach or player let us know the time, or if you just want to reserve a time we will find a coach for you (from the group listed below) by contacting Eric of the HKTA office on 25048273. telling us the coach you would like and the times you are available and we will confirm, otherwise just come to the clubs on the 1st and we will find you a spot.
Please turn up at the Clubs with your rackets your tennis gear and your generosity for this worthy cause. HKTA photographers will be at both venues to take action shots of you playing, so have your best stroke recorded for posterity.

Photo Session with the Olympic Torch
Yu Hiu Tung and Distrcit Council Member, Mr. Chan Siu Tong have generously allowed us the use of their Olympic Torch for the day. For a minimum donation of HK$ 100 per person, you can have a photo taken with the torch. i.e. if a family of four wants to take a photo with the torch, they have to donate at least HK$ 400

Bid for a racket and a racket cover signed by Maria Sharapova OR a racket and racket cover signed by Daniela Hantuchova
Simon Wong of Prince has donated a racket and a signed racket cover by Maria Sharapova and a racket and a signed racket cover by Anna Hantuchova, for a closed bidding auction during the day at CRC. (Minimum bid HK$5,000 for Sharopova’s racket and for Hantuchova’s racket HK$2,000)

We prefer to receive your donations by crossed cheque and please make it payable to:
Hong Kong Red Cross China Relief Fund 香港紅十字會中國賑災金 (with HKTA on back of cheque). Receipts will be issued to the donors if requested.
Cash will be also be accepted.
Inclement Weather:
Should there be inclement weather on Sunday : unless there is a Black rain or Typhoon number 8 signal or we have called you to cancel please turn up at the venue. The coaches will all be there and we will get the matches on as soon as possible. If we do have to cancel we will reschedule at CRC on 9th June. These arrangements can be made on Sunday at the venues. The photographs with the Torch and the rackets for auction will still continue as scheduled.
