Dr. Fok had been a Life Patron of the Hong Kong Tennis Association for many years and was a great supporter of tennis in Hong Kong.  He had been the title sponsor of the very popular Corporate Patrons League for 14 years and we would often see him on the courts competing for his company during this event

By Andy Yanne @ 9:49 AM :: 561 Views :: 0 Comments ::
Paulette MorenoIt's blatantly obvious that former Hong Kong standout, Paulette Moreno, hadn't lost her timing one bit, as she jetted into town the same week the Hong Kong Junior Fed Cup Team were flying off to Barcelona to compete in the World Finals after successfully qualifying for the first time when placing third in the regionals back in May. HKTA General Manager, Mrs. Janet Hardisty, took the opportunity to meet up with her, and to find out just exactly what she had been up to since she left the territory.

By Andy Yanne @ 12:33 PM :: 773 Views :: 0 Comments ::
Jessica Yang & Ronald ChowAll in all, it's been a pretty positive week for Hong Kong tennis these past seven days, as witnessed by the Davis Cup team's bulldozing effort at the regional playoffs at Victoria Park in addition to several junior representatives, who were also making a fine name for the territory by wining tournaments in Thailand, and as far ashore as Syria over the weekend.

Sixteen year-old Venise Chan captured both the Girls' Singles and Doubles titles at the ITF Grade 4 Mouhafaza Club International Junior Tournament in Damascus, while Ronald Chow and Jessica Yang took home the Boys' and Girls' Singles respectively at the Grade 4 Mercedes Cup in Bangkok to hoist the Bauhinia flag simultaneously on two continents in the midst of international competition.
