Hong Kong's junior number one Dino Dell'Orto (ITF 151) successfully negotiated three rounds in the B18 singles qualifying to reach the maindraw of the 62nd Dunlop Orange Bowl before he was upended by 16th-seeded world No. 55 Dino Marcan of Croatia, 7-5, 6-3.

At the US$25,000 ITF Women's Circuit event in Perth, Australia, qualifier Jessica Yang (WTA 1038) is into the quarterfinals of a C25 for the first time in her career when she beat No. 5 seed Alexis Prousis of USA (WTA 297) in the second round, 6-1, 6-3. Next up, Jessica will face either Michaela Johansson of Sweden (WTA 442) or No. 1 seed Yurika Sema of Japan (WTA 264) for a place in the semifinals.

Opening Ceremony Earlier last month, Hong Kong was represented by Andrew Town and Roland Liu at the Italia Cup – the premier team competition for Men's 35 or over. The event took place at the Club Ali Bey, Turkey, with the annual ITF Seniors World Individual Championships being held the week after. After beating Ireland in the playoffs, the HK team placed 19th overall.
