At the League Prize Presentation Ceremony 2002 held on 10 October in the Jockey Club Lecture Theatre at Sports House, HKTA League Management Committee (LMC) Chairman, Mr. Jeremy Pong, and Hon. Secretary, Mr. Paul Yuen, were on hand to congratulate and honour the respective winners of all the divisions with trophies aplenty.

Popularity of the League has grown steadily in recent years, with the number of players competing in the Winter, Summer and Veterans? League totalling almost 4,500 enthusiastic League participants.

As LMC Hon. Secretary, Mr. Yuen, has pointed out, ?Under the Chairmanship of Jeremy [Pong], the LMC intends to direct all efforts to help make all the Leagues more enjoyable and successful.?

While sporting competition can build character and better prepare participants for life in the contemporary society, Mr. Yuen has reminded the audience ?the toughest thing about success is that you have got to keep on being successful!? Yet, at the same time, fair play and self-development is just as, if not more, important than winning itself.

In closing, Mr. Yuen thanked all the hard working and dedicated members of the LMC and HKTA staff members, specifically Thomas, Allison, May, Cindy, and the 'resourceful' Executive Director, Mr. Peter Hung, for their wonderful support.
