World No. 23 Jessica Yang captured her fourth career girls' doubles title when she teamed up with Indonesia's Beatrice Gumulya to beat French No. 2 seeds Amadine Hesse and Kristina Mladenovic, in a third set super-tiebreak, 7-5, 3-6, [10-8], at the ITF Grade 2 Gerry Weber Junior Open in Halle, Germany.
HKTA Vice President Mr. Henry Chan, who also chairs the Elite Committee that oversees the development of many of the top players in Hong Kong, commented, "I think to be in the final of a Grade 2 tournament in Europe is not easy, especially having to play against some of the high-ranking Eastern block players. To win on European soil is definitely an encouraging result."
Having received a bye in the opening round, the top-seeded HK-Indo pairing first saw off Daria Gavrilova of Russia and Jade Hopper of Australia in the quarterfinals, 6-1, 6-4, before they got past No. 3 seeds Yana Buchina of Belarus and Mariya Malkhasyan of Ukraine in straight sets, 6-1, 7-5, in the ensuing semis.
However, it was Buchina, the fifth seed, who knocked out Jessica in the girls' singles quarterfinals, 6-4, 6-2.
Next up for Jessica Yang is the Grade 1 Roehampton, the final tune-up event before The Junior Championships at Wimbledon begins on June 28.

According to the latest acceptance list, she is the projected No. 10 seed behind (brackets denote ITF Junior World Ranking 21 days prior to start of tournament):
