Number five seed Stephen Hoh of Australia claimed both boys' singles and doubles titles at the TechnoMarine® ITF Jr Tournament 2007 earlier this afternoon. Meanwhile, Korea's Kim So-Yeon won her maiden ITF title by defeating No. 1 seed Parichart Charoensukployphol of Thailand, 6-3, 6-3.

Guest of Honour presiding over the trophies presentation was Mr. Ivan Leung, Sales Manager of the tournament's Title Sponsor, TechnoMarine Hong Kong.

Due to a light but persistent drizzle in the morning, play was eventually postponed until after noon, which rendered the late-finishing of the boys' doubles final. That, however, proved to be a non-factor, as Hoh first took care of business against unranked Korean, Jo Min-Wook, 6-0, 6-1, in the singles final, and then teamed up with Canadian Kelsey Stevenson to bag the doubles in a thriller, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, against Taiwan's Hung Jui-Chen & Lin Yu-Chou.

In the process, Hoh became the second player to achieve the "double" since Gilbert Wong of Hong Kong last year. For the first time since the event's inauguration in 2004, however, the number one seeds in both boys' and girls' singles failed to win through in the end. In 2004, the singles titles went to top-seeded Martin Sayer of Hong Kong and Chin Seul-Ki of Korea. In 2005, it was top-seeded Tetta Oyama of Japan and Zhang Ling. Last year, it was top-seeded Gilbert Wong and Yang Yi of Hong Kong who came through.

In contrary, this edition was won by Stephen Hoh of Australia (seeded 5th) and Kim So-Yeon of Korea (seeded 7th). The No. 1 seed in the boys' singles, Ralph-Kevin Barte of the Philippines, fell to the eventual champion, 6-2, 6-0, in the quarters, while Kim So-Yeon won her career-first world junior circuit title by beating the girls' top seed, Parichart Charoensukployphol, in the final.

The girls' doubles final took place earlier on Friday when Michiru Matsushima of Japan and Tan Li-Yun of Singapore beat third-seeded defending champions, Geraldine Leong & Sher Chun Wing in the final, 6-4, 7-5.

Geraldine Leong and Sher Chun Wing were the only local representatives to have reached any of the finals this year.
